Rwanda and Russia Advance Nuclear Science Education and Research Cooperation
On 31 October 2026, Rwanda and Russia’s Rosatom signed a cooperation agreement covering a planned Centre for Nuclear Science and Technology, alongside specialist training for Rwandan nuclear scientists and technical personnel. The programme builds on existing Rosatom-supported education, including 102 Rwandan students studying at Russian universities. No confirmed project budget or new training contract value was disclosed. Universities and research institutions can explore specialist training, research infrastructure and scientific computing opportunities; HPC can support research-data processing and technical computing requirements, with quotations available for confirmed projects.
