Nigeria’s Digital Infrastructure Expansion Creates Opportunities for Healthcare Technology

On 28 October 2026, AFRIDATA and the US Trade and Development Agency signed a $1.87 million grant agreement to fund a feasibility study for two proposed data centres in Lagos and Delta State. The facilities are planned to support AI, cloud computing and secure data services, with a projected project cost of $650 million to $1 billion; the grant funds the study, not construction. Although the announcement is not a dedicated healthcare investment, reliable local computing infrastructure could support health-data platforms, medical research and digital health services. HPC can support healthcare analytics and suitable AI computing workloads; contact HPC for a quotation tailored to your requirements.
